It’s getting cold here in New Zealand with it being the middle of winter, sub zero temperatures most mornings! I head to the site where I have found quite a few sections of associated whale skull hoping that I would be lucky enough to find another one. It was quite a chilled hunt and I manage to find quite a few fossils as well as a mystery crab.

I also make use of my lapidary saw to open up a mystery rock to see if it could indeed be a rhodolith.
