I head out to a local beach to try and find the ever elusive penguin fossil, I know they are there - just a matter of finding one! The tide was perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better day weather wise.

There was a bit of everything on the beach, from large cetacean bones (baleen whale probably) to petrified wood. Most of the fossils in that area are Miocene around 8 myo.

Hopefully my stylus arrives soon so I can get back into prepping some fossils!
