There are a few easy ways to watch on the big screen. Choose the option that suits your setup.

Option 1: Connect with an HDMI Cable

The simplest and most reliable option — works with any TV that has an HDMI port.

  1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to your laptop or computer, and the other end to a free HDMI port on your TV.
  2. Using your TV remote, switch the TV’s input/source to the HDMI port you plugged into (e.g. HDMI 1, HDMI 2).
  3. Play your video as normal — it will display on your TV.

Tip: If you don’t hear any sound from the TV, check your computer’s sound settings and select the TV as the audio output device.

Note: If your laptop doesn’t have a full-size HDMI port, you may need an adapter (e.g. USB-C to HDMI).

Option 2: Cast with Chromecast (Chrome browser)

If you have a Chromecast or a Chromecast-enabled TV, you can cast directly from the video player.

  1. Make sure your computer and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the video in the Google Chrome browser.
  3. Start playing the video, then click the Cast icon in the player controls.
  4. Select your Chromecast device from the list.
  5. The video will begin playing on your TV. Use the player on your computer to pause, skip, or adjust volume.

To stop casting, click the Cast icon again and select Stop casting.

Option 3: Stream with AirPlay (Safari browser)

If you have an Apple TV or an AirPlay-compatible smart TV, you can stream from Safari on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad.

  1. Make sure your device and your Apple TV (or AirPlay-compatible TV) are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the video in the Safari browser.
  3. Start playing the video, then tap or click the AirPlay icon in the player controls.
  4. Select your TV from the list of available devices.
  5. The video will begin playing on your TV.

To stop streaming, select the AirPlay icon again and choose your original device.
