About 2 weeks ago, a bunch of people from the University of Canterbury and Canterbury Museum went to remove a moa skeleton that had been unearthed by a local landowner when they were building a dam. It was a great opportunity to learn some techniques around working with fragile fossils so of course I asked to go along. t was a beautiful day and we managed to remove the bones before a rain storm came through in the evening which would have covered the bones in water. I hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery and a peek behind the scenes of a dig site! Chat soon! Morne (more-nay) aka Mamlambo
