The temperature has hit 30 degrees Celsius which can only mean one thing… river fossil hunting! The best way to stay cool is to stay hip-deep in the cold Waipara river (aka the Bone Line) and look for those sneaky plesiosaur bones (I’ll get one soon!).
I’m in the area where I found two whale vertebrae before so will keeping an eye out for anything whale-looking. 🐋 Megalodon teeth have also been found at this location, so I always look out for anything vaguely triangular looking.
I find some really interesting fossils and even break out the digital microscope to have a closer look at those fossils.
