Fossil hunting ancient storm deposits

This is the second and last day of my road trip to go checkout some fossil sites. It’s a well-known Oligocene site near the top of the South Island near in Nelson. It’s very tidal and requires a bit of a walk to I had to leave at 4am to get there.

It’s always great checking out a new spot, it takes a while to get your bearings though!
