I’ve always wondered what is inside a fossil crab’s body cavity and today we find out! I found this crab concretion that was broken in half and thought it was the perfect opportunity to prep half a fossil crab.

The prep took around 5 hours.

I used a combination of my CP9361 and HW10 to prep this one. The HW10 is for the detail work.

I use a handheld UV torch (365nm) to check what the fossil looks like under UV light. Always wear protective glasses made for UV light as it can really mess with your sight if you’re not careful.
